Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines (“Community Guidelines”) govern the events, discussions, and interactions between, or otherwise involving, users of the Slack channel administered by Trans Health HQ, Inc. (“Trans Health”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and any other channels for users to communicate outside the website located at www.thhq.org/hub (collectively, the “Communication Channels”). We reserve the right to update these Community Guidelines at any time. Any capitalized terms used, but not defined, in these Community Guidelines will have the meanings ascribed in the Trans Health Access & Information Hub Terms of Use available at http://www.thhq.org/hub-terms-of-use (“Terms of Use”).
The purpose of the Communication Channels is to allow you to connect with users, be part of a safe community, and share information and resources regarding gender affirming care. We expect all users to embody and uphold positive values while engaging with the Communication Channels, and to adhere to the following guidelines:
Be Respectful
· Users are expected to always be respectful of other users and contributors. We expect that you will refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech. Trans Health may suspend or terminate a user for any reason, as determined by Trans Health in its sole discretion, including without limitation, (a) any violation of these Community Guidelines or (b) engaging in any abusive, harmful, lewd, vulgar, harassing, violent, defamatory, discriminatory, or other unreasonably offensive or bothersome behavior.
Be Truthful
· Do not provide information that is deceptive, misleading, or untrue about yourself, your qualifications, experiences or accolades. Do not provide information or resources that you know to be false, deceptive or misleading. Do not impersonate others or misrepresent yourself in a way that is not truthful.
Unauthorized Access
Do not share, transfer or otherwise provide your access to the Communication Channels to another person, and use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access to or use of the Communication Channels.
User Data
· Do not harvest or attempt to retain data about other users or contributors.
Compliance with Laws
· When using the Communication Channels, you must comply with all applicable laws, including without limitation, intellectual property, privacy, and export control laws. You may not conduct fraudulent activity. Do not post Content that depicts, includes, or suggests violence, illegal drugs, or other criminal activity.
Spam
· You are prohibited from posting unsolicited commercial messages or promotions, advertising, or other solicitations on the Communication Channels.
Responsibility for Content
· You acknowledge that any information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, tags and/or other materials accessible through the Communication Channels (collectively, “Content”), is the sole responsibility of the party from whom such Content originated. This means that you, and not Trans Health, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Communication Channels (“Your Content”), and that other users of the Communication Channels, and not Trans Health, are similarly responsible for all Content that they make available through the Communication Channels (“User Content”).
· Before sharing Content in the Communication Channels, please make sure you have the rights to do so and don’t use or share Content that may violate the intellectual property rights of a third-party. Trans Health does not claim ownership of Your Content. When you make available any Content on the Communication Channels, you represent that you own and/or have sufficient rights to Your Content to grant the license set forth below.
License to Your Content
· You grant Trans Health a non-exclusive, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, fully-paid, royalty-free, sublicensable (through multiple tiers of sublicensees) right (including any moral rights) and license to use, copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, prepare derivative works from, translate, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display and derive revenue or other remuneration from Your Content (in whole or in part) for the purposes of providing the Communication Channels to you and to our other users. Please remember that other users may be able to search for, see, use, modify and/or reproduce any of Your Content that you submit to any area of the Communication Channels that is accessible by other users.
Content Provided by Other Users
· The views expressed on the Communication Channels are those of the users and individual contributors. Any User Content made available on the Communication Channels is provided solely for informational purposes only, and we do not make any guarantees regarding any User Content or its efficacy. Trans Health is not responsible for and does not control User Content. Trans Health does not approve or endorse or make any representations or warranties with respect to User Content. You use all User Content and interact with other users at your own risk.
Monitoring and No-Obligation to Pre-Screen Content
· Trans Health may, but is not obligated to, investigate, monitor, pre-screen, remove, refuse, or review the Communication Channels and/or Content, including Your Content and User Content, at any time. You hereby provide your irrevocable consent to such monitoring. You acknowledge and agree that you have no expectation of privacy concerning the transmission of Your Content, including without limitation chat, text, or voice communications.
· Trans Health reserves the right to: (a) remove or refuse to post any of Your Content for any reason in our sole discretion, including in the event Trans Health suspects that any of Your Content may be inaccurate; (b) take any action with respect to any of Your Content that we deem necessary or appropriate in our sole discretion, including if we believe that such Content violates these Community Guidelines, infringes any intellectual property right or other right of any person or entity, threatens the personal safety of users of the Communication Channels or the public, or could create liability for Trans Health; (c) disclose your identity or other information about you to any third party who claims that material posted by you violates their rights, including their intellectual property rights or their right to privacy; and/or (d) take appropriate legal action, including without limitation, referral to and cooperation with law enforcement and/or other applicable legal authorities, for any illegal or unauthorized use of the Communication Channels or if Trans Health otherwise believes that criminal activity has occurred.
Third-Party Service Provider
· You acknowledge that the Communication Channels are currently hosted third-party service providers. You agree to comply with and be bound by their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Trans Health does not make any representation or warranties regarding the availability of the Communication Channels.
Terms of Use
· You acknowledge that these Community Guidelines are subject to Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, and 13 of the Terms of Use, which are hereby incorporated by reference. In the event of a conflict between these Community Guidelines and the Terms of Use, the terms of these Community Guidelines govern for purposes of use of the Communication Channels.
Reporting problems
· We are committed to maintaining a positive and respectful community. If you notice any posts, messages, comments or behavior that you feel do not align with these Community Guidelines, please share this with us by reporting your concerns to care@thhq.org.
