Harvard Graduate School of Education Features Trans Health HQ at QueerEd Conference: Say Gay Anyway

Founder Ivan Hsiao was a panelist at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE)’s QueerEd Conference: Say Gay Anyway. This half-day conference for the Harvard community focused on authenticity and self-expression in unwelcoming or difficult times.

QueerEd's mission is to support the study of gender and sexuality by master's and doctoral students during their time at HGSE; to promote awareness of issues at the intersections of sexuality and gender with race, class, ethnicity, immigrant status, ability level, and education; to provide an outlet for the concerns of LGBTQ persons at HGSE; and to build a welcoming and flourishing community for LGBTQ students and allies at HGSE.

We intend to accomplish these goals by supporting critical engagement with HGSE as a faculty and as an institution, with surrounding public and private schools; with local teacher's groups; and with other nearby schools of education. We also intend to invite a regular series of speakers as well as to advocate for the inclusion of gender and sexuality in all classes at HGSE.
