MassArt Design Innovation Course Invites Trans Health HQ for Guest Lecture

Ivan Hsiao shared the journey of recognizing gaps in trans health and framing them as a problem to address, exploring potential solutions, and ultimately launching THHQ. He highlighted how the platform has been tested, refined, and continually evolved in response to user needs and feedback, underscoring a commitment to responsive, community-driven innovation.

The graduate level course at MassArt focused on design innovation. The class functions like a real project team, collaborating to design a solution that helps a local pediatrics practice ensure eligible patients can access WIC benefits. Through this structured project, students learn to identify and understand problems, develop and test solutions, and ultimately build and launch an intervention in the real world.
